Alphonso Soriano’s Outfield Fly Rule

by Hilary Barta

Playing hoops, they say, “Don’t jump to pass,”
Or else Oops! you may look like an ass
Out in left never hop
Or, ball bereft, you’re a flop
Being duped by a fly on the grass.
