Boston Half-Baked Beans

by Hilary Barta

They were losing so nobody spoke
No schmoozing, no boasting, no joke
.    From the bench not a mention
.    Just a clenching from tension
No boos heard in Boston, just “Choke!”

Boston Half-Baked Beans: 2 Comments

  1. Stephen Jones wrote,

    Beantown Bust

    Boston asking How?
    How this historic collapse?
    Its team imploded

    Last Spring’s favorite
    Now AL’s foggy cypher
    No Beantown party

  2. Hilary Barta wrote,

In Boston, Haiku are a rueful boo hoo
The Red Sox have bled out and now they’re just blue
The fans left the stands with their heads in their hands
All Beantown is steeped in a cold Irish stew
