Viva Arozarena!

Like the baby’s proverbial candy
Home plate was stolen by Randy
The shift left third base
A defender-less place
And the pitcher’s stance came in quite handy.

To Ring the Bell on Snell

by James Finn Garner

A bevy of young bureaucrats
Believe winning relies strictly on stats
But when numbers belie
What you see with your eyes
You’ll make changes undeniably bats.

Dodgers 3, Rays 1

by Stephen Jones

The Rays came to play,
Leading the Dodgers
1-0 through five.
Snell was magic, was unhittable,
And then (incredibly), Cash
Pulled him off the mound.

Whaaaat?

In their dugout, the Dodgers
Must’ve thanked the gods
(Because, up till then,
They’d no answer for his stuff).
They promptly scored two runs
In the sixth, and never looked back.
