Remembrance

by Stephen Jones

Quietly

historically despite sun
& fun of fans there was
Steinbrenner Sheppard Houk

everything pitched maybe
not pitch-perfect
but a bridging arcing

remember the summer
kiss the autumn
& when October comes

see The Yankees rise
