Rounding Third

by Paul Kocak

I could do that
Tap my glove
Gallop hat’s off
Horizon bound
Basket catch twirl homeward

I could do that
I all but said to the strangers
In the park
All shiny youth
On my sunset stroll

I could do that
If you only knew
In my dreams
Of Technicolor yesterday
Long gone
Rounding third

  1. Paul told me (via a SF Giant blog, The Flap) that one of his poems was posted here today. Good to see Paul get some traction on various baseball sites such as this. He is a knowledgeable baseball fan who has true passion for the world’s greatest game. I will swing back for visits now that I know this site exists. Thanks for sharing Paul’s work.
