The World Series – Game 1

The Baseball Tavern on Boyle St., in Boston,
Must be hopping.  The fielding question aired
On ESPN put aside, the Red Sox seem poised
To beard-brush St. Louis red birds aside.

Although I’m (sort of) pulling for Boston in the Series, I think the Cards may yet do some beard-yanking before the Series is done. In fact, I AM hoping that the Red Birds can win three games to push the WS to the max. I’m NOT ready to surrender the field totally to football, basketball and hockey and retire to the Hot Stove.
