A homerun of stadium emotion
And Yankee dugout celebration
It didn’t win the season or game
But maybe it infused a team
The wild card is still a battle uphill
But maybe now is pinstripe-possible
It took one swing of the bat – crack!
To remind us: Derek Jeter’s back
Not only did it take one swing, it was on the first pitch that he saw….WOW! Who could have predicted that?
