Detroit should be grateful.
He didn’t fail stadium fans —
their team’s porous bats did
like unidentified blips
on baseball’s radar screen.
Mr. Leyland deserved better.
Leyland was a Tiger’s tiger and a Pirate skipper, as well. A great manager with a keen eye and a level head. Sayonara, Leyland-san!
