Certain clubs have been graced with preemption
.     They have scaled to the summit
.     But one’s failed, and now, from it
The sad Cubbies have aced an exemption
Reviving the Art of Baseball Doggerel
The billy goat curse has been lifted
At least twice, but discussion has drifted
From karma and luck
To teams that just suck
As they blow another chance gifted.
