not so quickly emptied their larder
.     but I feel I’m in luck
.     to not hear Joe Buck
and double that for Colonel McCarver.

The Upside to Discretionary World Series Watching: 3 Comments

  1. Alan Rudy wrote,

Ouch, Jack Buck’s _dead_, man! I think you mean his son, Joe… who’ll never be anywhere near as good as his dad but is, nevertheless, far better than the perpetually self-important, video replay-ignoring and Cardinal-dissing McCarver.

  2. James Finn Garner wrote,

Ooops! Sorry Alan! I’ve corrected the error and fired the editor.

  3. Hilary Barta wrote,

What causes the series to suck?
The flaw’s not McCarver or Buck
    What tortures my eyes
    is that dork I despise
    That caustic ex-president schmuck.

Thank God the games are good.

    not the announcing or color
