At Citi the Cubs were defeated
Their pitching and bats weren’t heated
Their sizzle thus chilled,
They fizzled, were stilled
To Wrigley they now have retreated.

I’d rather drink Harvey’s Bristol Creme
Than watch Matt Harvey shut down my team.
O Mariners! I am about
To lose all hope in you.
Longest active post-season drought?
It makes me feel so blue.

Up to heaven with Ernie,
And my Cubs dreams may finally come true!
The Cubs sit at home feeling great.
The rub’s the next foe on their plate.
Be it Dodgers or Mets,
We’ll give odds! We’ll take bets!
This “W” year we won’t wait.
Not your “same old Cubs”
Epstein brought ’em back to life
Maddon let ’em loose
Fans dance in the stands
Don’t believe in no goat curse
Joy in Wrigleyville
